After going through chest X-ray ,doctor write chest fields with prominent BVM with opacity ...Kindly clarify this statement please. ....I went to Dr for normal body check up ,all results are normal except above mentioned statement....Kindly suggest me what it means? ?? Your X-ray looks almost normal and nothing to worry in it. Prominent BVM(Broncho vascular markings) is quite common after an episode of minor lung infection or pneumonia. Bronchovascular Markings are caused by major blood vessels of lung, mainly veins. Prominent means generally Infection in respiratory passages or fluid in the lungs. Most cases revert to normal in two weeks. Since you are asymptomatic,you don't need any treatment and film should be taken as normal.
